A Gwinnett County driving school that answers the phone
ATL Prime Driving School runs driver education, court-ordered classes, and notary services out of an office on Oakbrook Parkway in Norcross. Teenagers come to us for Joshua's Law and their first hours behind the wheel. Adults come to us because a court, an insurer, or the Department of Driver Services told them to — and they want it handled properly the first time.
Four things we will not compromise on
This is a category full of course mills. These are the ways we deliberately differ from them.
Every class we teach is live
Risk Reduction, Defensive Driving and driver education all run live on Zoom with a certified instructor and cameras on. For the court-ordered classes that is the only remote format Georgia DDS accepts. For driver education it is a choice we make, because a teen who can ask a question and get an answer learns more — and when a family genuinely cannot make a class time work, we point them at a state-approved self-paced course run by our partner Safe2Drive rather than pretend the option does not exist.
Accuracy over upselling
If you call and describe a situation that does not need one of our classes, we will tell you that. Selling somebody a course they cannot use is how a school ends up with the reviews most of our competitors have.
Discretion as standard
Court-ordered classes bring people in at a low point. We report to DDS as the state requires and to nobody else, and our instructors run the room accordingly.
Patience in the car
New drivers are nervous, and adults learning late are often more nervous still. Our in-car instruction builds up to highways and parallel parking deliberately rather than throwing students into traffic.
Certification and compliance
Defensive Driving and DUI / Risk Reduction are state-regulated programs. The hours, the curriculum, the attendance rules, and the fees are all set by the Georgia Department of Driver Services — not by us — and only certified providers may issue the certificates that courts and DDS accept.
